What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sales and Shipping Associate position at Bulldog Pipe?
We are seeking a Sales and Shipping associate to add to our current team who can organize outgoing shipments and perform quoting to customers. This position will require the ability to communicate with customers and logistics companies.
The ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator who thrives in a flexible work environment that requires consistent attention to detail. Someone that is as comfortable talking on the phone to customers, truck drivers, and shipping contacts as they are recording load details and product quoting in Excel. Someone that wants to become a key part of a Veteran& family-owned, growing business.
Core responsibilities:
- Coordinate outgoing shipping schedule with the production team for two plants
- Contact receivers to verify delivery details
- Secure competitive rates from a variety of shipping partners
- Confirm/schedule pick-ups with shipping partners
- Create bills of lading and packing slips
- Record details of loads in outlook calendar for the production team/loader to use to load trucks.
- Communicate & troubleshoot any issues that arise during the delivery process via phone or email
- Coordinate occasional return shipping
- Perform routine product quoting
- Other duties as assigned by the manager
Required Skills & Experience
- High School diploma required
- Must be fluent in Excel, Outlook calendar, and Microsoft Word
- Must have excellent customer service mindset and superb communication skills (written, oral, and electronic)
- Experience in transportation or manufacturing preferred, but not required
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
