Property Maintenance Job Description
Summery: Under limited supervision, the Property Maintenance staff member performs a variety of skilled & semi-skilled work in the maintenance of Bullet Hole Shooting Range L.P. facilities and performs related duties as assigned. This is an hourly, full-time, non exempt position estimated at 30-40 hours per week.
The Property Maintenance staff member reports directly to Carol Hester.
Hours of Operation:
Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:00pm.
Location: Bullet Hole Shooting Range and its adjacent property. 2715 Grosenbacher Road, San Antonio, Tx 78245
Duties and Responsibilities: (This is not a comprehensive list and is subject to change at owner’s discretion)
- Troubleshoots maintenance problems involving electrical, structural, plumbing and equipment repair or replacement.
- Performs preventive maintenance duties on all range facilities.
- Performs maintenance on impact berms/dirt embankments.
- Performs routine plumbing repairs such as unstopping toilets, sinks, fixing water leaks, leaking faucets and broken water lines.
- Performs routine electrical repairs such as changing light bulbs or fluorescent lamps. Installing and wiring equipment. Repairing and replacing minor electrical fixtures.
- Preparing supplies list, equipment and materials necessary to complete projects.
- Assembles and installs system component parts, office equipment and facility components (e.g. lighting, heating and ventilating systems, alarms, plumbing, security, electrical panels, etc) for the purpose to provide a safe and workable environment.
- Responds to emergency situations during and after hours for the purpose to resolve immediate safety concerns.
- Performs maintenance on tools, lawn mowers, diesel vehicles and equipment for the purpose to ensure availability and safe operating condition.
- Cleans and organize buildings and workspace.
- Assemble and disassemble shooting stages for special events and instructors.
- Repairs and replaces door knobs or locks, repairs door closures.
- Paints interior and exterior walls.
- Landscaping, mowing, weeding and trimming trees.
- Cleans public and private shooting ranges and their impact berms of brass, debris, trash, rocks, and repair target holders and lines.
- The property maintenance staff member will be provided with daily tasks to be completed by Carol Hester.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledge of trades related to building maintenance and repair.
- Knowledge of machinery, equipment and tools necessary for maintenance and repair of range backstops and impact berms, building repair, plumbing, minor electrical and welding.
- Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions.
- Skill in reading and following assembly instructions.
- Skill in using hand and power tools.
- Skill in minor electrical repairs.
- Skill in plumbing repairs.
- Skill in welding.
- Skill in small engine repair.
- Skill in operating heavy equipment such as BobCat, ToolCat, Front End Loader.
- Ability to communicate effectively to coordinate projects, both orally and in writing.
- Safely handle and dispose of hazardous materials.
Physical Requirements and Work Environment:
Work involves moderate to heavy work in all types of weather. There is a frequent need to stand, stoop, bend, kneel, walk, lift heavy objects (up to 65 lbs) and perform other similar actions during the workday.
The Bullet Hole Shooting Range L.P. is a drug and alcohol free work environment with the use of random drug testing.
Minimum Qualifications: High School diploma or GED. Previous training or experience in maintenance, maintenance type work or construction trades preferred. Must maintain a valid Texas Driver’s License.
