Physical Therapy Technician

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapy Aide to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist physical therapists in providing high-quality care to patients recovering from injuries, surgeries, or managing chronic conditions. This role is essential in ensuring that patients receive the support they need during their rehabilitation process, particularly in settings such as hospitals, clinics, and orthopedic facilities.

Duties

• Assist physical therapists in preparing treatment areas and equipment for patient sessions.
• Help patients with exercises and mobility tasks under the supervision of licensed therapists.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of therapy areas, ensuring all equipment is sanitized and ready for use.
• Document patient progress and report any changes or concerns to the supervising therapist.
• Educate patients on proper techniques for exercises and activities to enhance their recovery.
• Provide excellent patient service by addressing questions and concerns with empathy and professionalism.
• Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing patient records.

Experience

• Familiarity with medical terminology, particularly related to orthopedics, geriatrics, and hospital medicine.
• Knowledge of anatomy and physiology is preferred to better assist in patient care.
• Previous experience in a clinical or hospital setting is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Strong interpersonal skills to ensure effective communication with patients and healthcare professionals.
• A commitment to providing high-quality patient service while maintaining a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $14.70 - $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 19 – 40 per week

Schedule:

• 4 hour shift
• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday

Work Location: In person
