Bullis School seeks innovative, energetic, and dedicated Substitute Teachers for available daily subbing assignments. Bullis School is an independent, coeducational college preparatory day school for students in grades K-12 located in Potomac, MD, that provides a student-centered balanced experience in academics, the arts, athletics, and community service. Substitute Teaching positions are available for daily and occasional longer-term assignments. The length of an individual substitute teaching assignment varies but will generally be between the hours of 7:30 am to 3:30 pm.
Key duties included:

Promotion of student learning in the absence of the regular classroom teacher

Deliver daily lesson plans.

Maintain a safe and orderly learning environment.

Collect and assign student assignments.

Maintain an established routine of the school and classroom procedures.

Monitor students during non-instructional time, including lunchtime.

Other teaching duties, as requested

Create lesson plans, grade classwork, homework, and tests, and attend parent-teacher conferences (only for long-term assignments).
Bullis offers instruction in many subjects, including Math, Science, Technology, Performing & Visual Arts, Humanities, Language Arts, History/Social Studies World Languages, including French, Spanish, Latin, and Chinese language instruction.
Qualifications
Education & experience:

Bachelors Degree required

Prior experience with children ages 5 to 18 is strongly preferred, particularly in a classroom setting.
