Summary of job purpose:
Responsible for performing a variety of duties involved in establishing and enforcing child support obligations and locating absent parents.
Child Support Caseworker duties:
- Communicates in person, by telephone or email with customers, out-of- state agencies, and attorneys to obtain and provide information.
- Processes legal documents such as summons, bench warrants, wage assignments, default judgments, complaints, motions, and orders and prepares materials for court.
- Reviews financial assets to determine ability to pay child support.
- Establishes child support amount and arrears payments.
- Examines cases for modifications on existing child support obligations when needed.
- Monitors compliance with court orders.
- Creates reports, correspondence, and other written materials.
- Files documents and case files.
- Audit cases when required.
- Uses multiple databases at once to research, provide information, manage, and update electronic case files.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
