Special Education Instructional Health Assistant (2024-2025) - North Bullitt High

This position is for the 2024-2025 school year.

North Bullitt High School is looking for a special education instructional health assistant for the 2024- 25 school year. In this position, you will assist students with special education services within a highly structured resource classroom and in the general education classroom. As part of a high-functioning team, candidates would be responsible for collaborating with and assisting teachers and instructional assistants.

This position is 6.5 hours per day and 183 days per year.

(170 instructional days, 4 holidays, 7 planning days, and 2 extended days)

Contracted days will be adjusted depending on the start date.

• Must have 48 semester hours, an Associate Degree or have a high school diploma and have passed the paraeducator assessment exam. Must provide a copy to HR upon recommendation to hire.

Step 10: $19.19

New employees to the district may bring in up to 10 years of comparable, full-time, verified experience. (NOTE: It will be the responsibility of the applicant hired to submit the BCPS verification of experience form to their prior employer to complete and return to HR.)

Although Classified positions are paid on an hourly rate, salary is set up on a year long contract and divided by the number of remaining paychecks. This position is considered a ten-month employee on the pay schedule. 4 paychecks will be paid at the end of June.
