What are the responsibilities and job description for the Exceptional Child Bus Monitors (2024-2025) - Transportation Department position at Bullitt County Schools?
This position is for the 2024-2025 school year.
Ride a school bus for exceptional children and assist school bus driver in maintaining discipline while bus is in operation; operate mechanical lift. Assist students with loading and unloading.
This position is for at least 6.5 hours per day (depends on route) and 178 days per year.
(170 student instructional days, 4 holidays and 4 extended days)
Contracted days will be adjusted depending upon start date.

- Must have High School diploma or equivalent and provide a copy to HR upon recommendation to hire.
New employees to the district may bring in up to 10 years of comparable, full-time, verified experience. (NOTE: It will be the responsibility of the applicant hired to submit the BCPS verification of experience form to their prior employer to complete and return to HR.)
Step 0: $15.98 per hour
Step 10: $19.66 per hour
Although Classified positions are paid on an hourly rate, salary is set up on a year-long contract and divided by the number of remaining paychecks. This position is considered a ten month employee on the pay schedule. 4 paychecks will be paid at the end of June.
