Responsibilities

- Utilize motivational interviewing techniques to encourage client engagement and progress.
- Provide counseling services in areas such as conflict management, case management, and social work.
- Supervise group sessions and facilitate discussions that promote healing and personal development.
- Maintain accurate records of client interactions, progress notes, and treatment plans in compliance with confidentiality standards.
- Collaborate with law enforcement or military personnel when necessary to support clients transitioning from structured environments.
- Develop and implement workshops or programs aimed at enhancing clients' coping skills and resilience.
- Stay informed about community resources and refer clients as needed for additional support services.
Requirements
- A Bachelor's degree in criminal justice, psychology, social work, counseling, or a related field is preferred.
- Certification in counseling or related areas is a plus.
- Experience in supervising others or leading group sessions is highly desirable.
- Strong skills in conflict management and case management are essential for success in this role.
- Familiarity with motivational interviewing techniques is beneficial for effective client engagement.
- Previous experience working with law enforcement or military populations is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, along with strong interpersonal abilities are required.
