What are the responsibilities and job description for the Summer Camp Activity Coordinator position at Bulloch County Parks and Recreation Department?
As a Summer Camp Activity Coordinator, you will be responsible for leading engaging activities for children, ensuring a safe and enjoyable camp experience. Reporting to the Site Coordinator, you will utilize your core skills in childcare and camp management, along with premium skills in classroom management and first aid, to create a supportive environment. Your relevant experience in sports coaching, early childhood education, and behavior management will enhance the campers' experience. 1. Summer Camp staff training will be held on the week of May 19th – 23rd from 8:30am-12pm. There will also be online trainings that must be completed before the start of camp. All training (in-person or online) are mandatory.
2. We are looking for candidates able to work from 12:30 - 6:00pm
3. Summer camp goes for 9 weeks and begins May 27 and ends July 25. For PK-5th graders
4. If you have Summer Classes please send or attach your class schedule and turn it in by the deadline May 23. Those with summer classes will not be available to work without submitting class schedules.
5. Please note- it is MANDATORY for camp staff to work our Firecracker Fest event - which will be held on July 3rd 4:30pm-10pm. All staff are OFF on JULY 4th
6. Mini Bus Training: Activity Coordinators over the age of 18 are required to drive 14 passenger mini buses and vans for field trips and Splash in the Boro waterpark.
7. We are looking for SELF MOTIVATED staff that have shown above average initiative, teamwork with fellow coworkers, and has a POSITIVE ATTITUDE.
