HR COORDINATOR

SALARY: Based on Bulloch County Schools salary/supplement schedule

POSITION SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for coordinating several functions of the new hire onboarding process. The HR Coordinator oversees the hiring and ongoing functions of substitute staff. In addition, the HR Coordinator is responsible for several HR tracking functions.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma/GED.
- Three years of clerical/administrative support experience.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Suite programs and general knowledge of other software and web based applications (i.e. Gmail, etc.).
- Experience working with a diverse group of people.
- Embodies the core values of the district; relational, purposeful, reflective, resourceful, courageous and accountable.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Experience working in a Human Resources office.
- Experience with Google suite.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Coordinates the new hire onboarding process.
- Coordinates the hiring and processing of substitutes.
- Assists and processes payroll, benefits and retirement forms.
- Ensures that employee handbooks and contracts are returned in a timely manner.
- Plans and coordinates new hire orientation, annual recruitment fairs and other related events.
- Performs periodic internal employee audits.
- Completes and processes I-9’s through the E-Verify system.
- Completes data entry in various systems.
- Provides back-up coverage for background checks and front office assistance as needed.
- Performs other duties as requested.

EVALUATION: Performance will be evaluated annually by the Superintendent or designated supervisor in accordance with Policy GBI - Evaluation of Personnel.
