POSITION SUMMARY:
The registrar conducts all functions necessary to ensure the successful processing of student enrollments, withdrawals and transfers. This includes accurate data entry, maintenance of permanent records and providing assistance in the scheduling of students.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Experience with computer data entry.
- Experience working with a diverse group of people.

- Must be able to provide a criminal background check with results that adhere to Bulloch County Board of Education Policy GAK(1).
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Post-secondary training in computer information systems or office management.
- Experience with student information systems.
- Knowledge of Georgia laws regarding enrollment and withdrawal in the K-12 school system.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Processes new student registrations, including those submitted through the online registration system.
- Processes student withdrawals, including diligent follow-up to ensure records requests or Declaration of Intent to Home School documents are received for all students withdrawing and subject to compulsory school attendance.
- Requests records from previously attended schools.
- Performs all duties that pertain to FTE in the student information system.
- May assign student bus numbers according to primary residence address or other approved address.
- Reviews and approves data for census verification after parent submission.
- Acquires Georgia Unique Identifier for Education (GTID) numbers for all students.
- Schedules students to classes in the student information system, as directed by the school administration.
- Creates and maintains student permanent records, including reviewing immunization records to check for compliance.
- Accurately processes and enters student transcript records.
- Processes requests for records or enrollment verification statements for previous or current students.
- Assists with the accurate reporting of student data for all major state and federal data collections.
- May create master schedule in IC.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

EVALUATION: Performance will be evaluated annually by the Superintendent or designated supervisor in accordance with Policy GBI - Evaluation of Personnel.
