Summary
Bullrock is seeking a Permitting and Development Associate to join the team during our ongoing operational expansion initiatives for Bullrock Renewables and Bullrock Solar. The primary responsibilities will be to support the development, permitting and regulatory compliance tasks for our portfolio of solar energy projects. Applicants for consideration should be comfortable presenting reportable data to both internal and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Compile, review, and organize permitting requirements in accordance with federal, state, and local laws.
- Draft, review, and organize permit application documents
- Manage and respond, in a timely manner, to all data request responses
- Manage consultants, subject matter experts, and external parties from legal, engineering, environmental, and construction backgrounds.
- Review project layouts to ensure compliance with regulations.
- Maintain company management systems for permit and interconnection status updates.
- Interface with state and local agencies to develop positive relationships and effectively communicate project objectives, benefits, and details.
- Identify and evaluate operational red flags and address issues with applicable leadership personnel
- Acting as a liaison with outside vendors utilized in the operational due diligence review process
- Participating in on-site due diligence meetings and conference calls with senior professionals
- Research and analyze demographic, market, sector, and property data to perform comprehensive industry and market research.
- Perform document control, read due diligence materials, verify projections and other duties as assigned
- Monitor federal, state and local laws for compliance reporting requirements
- Implement standard operating procedures for development and compliance related activities
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in legal or business-related field preferred
- Minimum of two years of working experience, ideally in renewable and/or clean energy industry
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Eligible to work in the United States without the need for employer visa sponsorship
