Irrigation Technician
Starting Pay: $23.50
Position Overview: Installation, troubleshooting and maintenance of both Commercial Property and Home Owner Association irrigation systems; To ensure irrigation system is properly maintained and operating at peak efficiency.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Install and maintain irrigation controllers manufactured by Hunter, Rainbird, ET Water.
• Troubleshoot and repair irrigation pipe and fittings, valves, sprinklers heads.
• Perform general and seasonal system maintenance.
• System start-ups, evaluation and winterization.
• Test irrigation systems for proper functioning of valves and timers; Record detailed inspections.
• Locate, excavate and repair or replace damaged or malfunctioning equipment.
• Responsible for the purchasing of repair parts, keeping accurate inventory.
• Keep work vehicle and equipment clean and organized.
• Be proactive with diagnosing and repairing any irrigation issues.
• Complete daily paperwork using web-based services as required by each job.
• Perform accurate and timely recordkeeping using web-based services.
• Perform such other activities as may be temporarily or permanently assigned.
Requirements:
• Possess and maintain a valid US Driver License.
• Knowledge of irrigation system installation, maintenance and repair.
• Ability to lift 50lbs or more and excavating/back filling necessary holes and trenches in a safe manner.
• Ability to interact professionally with all customers, employees and those from external organizations.
• Ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision.
• 3yrs professional experience working with irrigation system installation, maintenance and repair is required.
Other Expectations:
Dependability: Must be able to be on time and demonstrate regular attendance.
Job Performance: Must be able to complete duties quickly, efficiently, and safely.
Conduct: Must be able to follow worksite rules and regulations. Employees who violate worksite rules and regulations will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.
Uniform: Wear steel-toe work shoes and clothing suitable for outdoor work.
Transportation: Employees will meet at the worksite address listed above and will be transported to
individual worksites.
Housing: Employees will live in their own personal housing. There is no employee housing provided for
this job location.
