Bumble is looking for a Sr. Manager, City Marketing to help scale Bumble’s brand as the leading dating and relationships app. Reporting to the Director of Integrated Marketing, you will be responsible for developing and executing IRL experiences, localized campaigns, and hyper-relevant partnerships that drive relevance for Bumble in the US.

This role's key focus is on driving favorability and awareness across the US. You should be comfortable executing across a range of marketing initiatives, from locally relevant partnerships to driving cultural marketing strategies and consideration driving product marketing. Throughout your work, you should be confident in driving marketing planning, identifying a roadmap of events for user engagement, and creating imaginative experiences that bring the brand to life with a focus on driving adoption of Bumble.

We are looking for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and feels comfortable juggling multiple projects, switching from experiential execution to strategy with ease and overseeing complex project management and agency relationships. In this role, you will need to build strong working relationships with multiple stakeholders and you will be a key player in driving collaboration across national initiatives.

We are looking for this role to be based in New York, NY or Austin, TX. We have a dynamic working environment.  That means that we don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all solution for how much time is spent between remote and office locations. We trust our people to pick the location conducive to the types of work being completed on any given day.


What you'll do
  • Strategic Leadership
  • Work with the Director of Integrated Marketing to implement the US City Marketing strategy,  driving favorability and new user growth in key US cities. Reach Gen Z through always-on and opportunistic marketing programs, including always-on events strategy and tentpole experiential moments
  • Maintains pulse on trends, identifying of-the-moment opportunities to strengthen and innovate marketing efforts and local partnerships
  • Team & Program Management
  • Manage and coach a team of 2 Associate Marketing Managers, overseeing City Marketing programs to ensure impactful execution and growth
  • Establish and maintain project plans for City Marketing, formally tracking progress toward objectives
  • Develop localized strategies and toolkits to help drive efficient activation of the Bumble Date brand across the US, working closely with cross-functional teams on activation, amplification and measurement
  • Program Execution & Experiential Innovation
  • Plan, manage, and scale live events designed to foster peer-to-peer networking and create memorable moments
  • Identify and secure strategic partnerships, experiential events, and guerrilla marketing opportunities that align with Bumble’s brand values and drive user acquisition
  • Oversee agency relationships for large-scale experiential activations, managing RFP process, overseeing creative development, and supporting on-the-ground executionOversee event production and design, ensuring alignment with the Bumble brand and business goals. Including but not limited to venue research and selection, invitations and event registration, collateral production, and on-site execution
  • Data-Driven Insights
  • Leverage data to generate actionable insights, analyzing RSVPs, attendance, CRM, and brand health metrics to support program innovation and evolution
  • Test, track and measure campaign success, working with self-serve dashboards and internal and external research partnersUnderstand and track Gen Z trends to optimize marketing program efforts
  • Operational Excellence
  • Serve as budget holder, maintaining strong operational best practices and liaising with FP&A
  • Oversee contracting for partners, vendors, and experiential agency partners 
  • Collate initiative recaps, creating compelling executive presentations and reports that showcase impact of localized efforts
  • Create and execute comprehensive project timelines, trackers, and budgets
  • Collaboration & Relationship Building
  • Build and maintain collaborative partnerships with internal teams, partnering closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and program success


About you
  • Candidates should have extensive experience in managing and executing large-scale experiential activations
  • Experienced team leader, with an ambition to develop and nurture individual development
  • Creative and innovative, with a finger on the pulse on US culture and best in class brand and experiential marketing
  • Strong budget, project management and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience developing creative briefs, with demonstrated experience utilizing consumer research and data to drive actionable insights to inform marketing strategy
  • Excellent communication, presentation, leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Great attention to detail and ability to work within tight deadlines, adjust to changes and balance short-term needs with long-term strategic ambitions
  • A self-starter with a ‘can-do’ attitude who thrives on taking ownership of initiatives with limited oversight. Comfortable working within a lean team and getting stuck in on project execution




Base Compensation Range: $107,000 - $132,000. For base compensation, we set standard ranges for all roles based on function, level, and geographic location. This position is also typically eligible to participate in our short- and long-term incentive programs. Benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k) match, Unlimited Paid Time Off Policy.
