Bundle of Joy Academy located in East Cobb, Marietta is a family-styled childcare that has a fun and hard-working staff, dedicated to making our children and their parents feel welcomed and special! We are looking for a Toddler teacher who is energetic, passionate, fun, and a loving educator. They enjoy seeing the amazing progress of young children as they explore their new world. Our goal is to contribute to the healthy mental, physical, and emotional development of every child enrolled in our childcare academy.
Desired Knowledge and Experience
- High school degree & higher
- Associate's in Early Childhood Education (ECE) or Non-ECE is valued
- A certificate such as CDA, TCC, or TCD is valued
- Need to meet basic requirements of local childcare regulatory agency
- Experienced in teaching and taking care of toddlers in general for at least 4 or more years in a licensed childcare facility
Responsibilities:
- Toddler teacher needs to implement the Academy’s philosophy, mission, goals, and objectives
- Working in sync and create a harmonious rhythm with another teacher in the classroom
- Needs to employ a variety of educational techniques (storytelling, educational play, media, etc.) to teach children
- Observe children as a means of helping them improve their social competencies, and build self-esteem
- Knowledgeable of creating and implementing provided lesson plans
- Posting updates daily to parents via parent engagement app
- Encourage children to interact with each other and help them learn how to resolve occasional arguments
- Meeting the intellectual and emotional needs of each child by using only positive guidance
- Guide children to develop their artistic and practical capabilities through implementation of our curriculum.
- Track and assess children’s progress and record it
- Toddler teacher needs to maintain a clean, tidy classroom and diaper-changing table consistent with health and safety standards
Requirements:
- Learn and be knowledgeable about and comply with all licensing rules and guidelines such as Quality Rated and Bright from the Start
- Be available to attend training, staff meetings, and company activities
- Be able to kneel, stoop, squat, and actively engaged with children
- Have a hands-on approach while observing children indoors or outdoors
- Speak, read, and write English fluently
- Not be on the personal phone as it is a distraction to both the teacher and children
- Ability to lift up to 35 pounds
