What are the responsibilities and job description for the TIRE AND LUBE TECHNICIAN position at Bundy Baking Solutions?
Position Summary
To ensure the plant & equipment perform to the required standard to facilitate
production targets, cost, quality & delivery. This position works within multiple areas
and requires a high degree of self-direction. Close working relations with technical &
production departments will be essential to ensure production is supported at all times.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities include the following :
Obtain orders
Confer with operator and observes, test and evaluates operation of machinery and equipment to diagnose malfunction
Disassemble machinery to remove parts and make repair
Examine parts for defects such as breakage or excessive wear
Repairs, replaces, adjust and aligns components of machine Involves getting on knees, climbing into and on press, working from ladder up to 13 feet
Frequently lifts up to 50 pounds and frequently pushes and pulls 20-30 pounds of force in moving machinery parts
Awkward positioning to climb in and on machinery
Constant use of tools weighing up to 20 pounds
Test runs repaired machinery
Fabricate replacement parts
Welds to repair broken parts, fabricate new pars and assembles
Repair or replaces electrical wiring
Weekly lubrication and inspections on machinery
Clean equipment, order parts and record keeping
Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills :
High School Diploma preferred
Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, benefits, repair, and maintenance
Knowledge of design techniques, principles, tools and instruments involved in the production and use of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models
Knowledge of powered tool
Working on press brakes and stamping equipment
The ability to imagine how something will look after it is moved around or when its parts are moved or rearranged
The ability to be hands on with the machines. To be able to manually detect a problem with the machines and the ability to manual fix the issue.
The ability to quickly and repeatedly make precise adjustments in moving the controls of a machine or vehicle to exact positions
The ability to see details of objects at a close range (within a few feet of the observer)
The ability to read and understand information and ideas presented in writing
The ability to quickly make coordinated movements of one hand, a hand together with its arm, or two hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble objects
The ability to add, subtract, multiply, or divide quickly and correctly
The ability to understand and organize a problem and then to select a mathematical method or formula to solve the problem
The ability to communicate information and ideas in speaking so others will understand
The ability to coordinate movements of two or more limbs together
The ability to bend, stretch, twist, or reach out with the body, arms, and / or legs
