A Day in the Life :
This position is responsible for conducting commercial and trading activities associated with grain origination, product sales and marketing for a soybean processing facility
What You'll Be Doing :
Communicate with farmer and elevator customers to originate grain and provide customer serviceService farmer customers in areas of market information, e-business, bids, hours, grade reporting and accounting issues in a proactive manner that exceeds expectations and builds strong relationshipsCommunicate with feed mills, livestock producers, brokers, and other buyers in marketing soybean meal and soyhull pelletsBuild relationships with new and existing customers to grow origination and sales for the facilityCoordinate and assist in managing all logistics around inbound and outbound product flowsCreate and communicate load order numbers for product loading to customersCommunicate plant issues affecting receiving or product loading to customers and internal groupsFacilitate and assist in the communication and exchange of business information and market conditions between local and corporate management in a timely and accurate mannerEvaluate and report changing crops and market conditions to appropriate company personnel in a timely and accurate mannerOrganize farmer meetingsWork with hedging, spreads, and crush projections making sure daily position is accurateEnsure accurate hedging to maintain plant margins and minimize risksAssist in and gain knowledge on weekly margin projectionsCheck local competition and elevator bid structure ensuring Bunge is competitiveEnsure compliance of contractsReview accounts receivable issues and assist in collecting as neededUpdate bid sheet daily and distribute internally and externallyHelp train and educate new merchants as neededAttend all safety meetingsPerform other duties as assignedDemonstrate the following culture and values which are expected of all employees at Bungeo Act As One Team : By fostering inclusion, collaboration and respect

Skills / Experience Requirements :
Bachelor's degree in Business, Agriculture Economics, or a related field3-5 years of experience in commodity merchandising or relevant experience. Prior experience within the agribusiness and / or food industry preferredStrong interest in agribusiness, specifically soybean processing / refining operationsWorking knowledge of cash commodity trading and CBOTSales knowledge and negotiations skillsExcellent verbal and written communications skillsAbility to build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders with a focus on customer serviceAbility to learn, prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced changing environmentIntermediate knowledge and understanding of accounting principles, market values, pricing and margin factors, highly preferredDemonstrated problem solving, execution and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced, changing environmentProficient PC skills including Excel and WordBenefits :
