The acquisition-focused Account Executive generates new revenue by prospecting and signing clients and partners, and managing the end-to-end sales cycle. These accounts are typically Fortune 2,000 nationwide retailers, distributors, and third-party logistics orchestration platforms. Through a consultative and creative sales approach, we develop tailored solutions that meet customers' strategic goals and deliver measurable returns on investment. The person we are looking for is competitive, gritty, solution-oriented, data-driven, customer-obsessed, and can work independently and with teams to accomplish goals. They have proven success sourcing new business and developing those relationships into long-term partnerships. They leverage data and analysis to make informed decisions. Most importantly they love the thrill of building unique and robust solutions to solve a client’s problems in a small, growing company.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
Lead Generation - 50%
- Responsible for building and maintaining a pipeline that exceeds annual revenue targets
- Research industries and companies that align with our ICP
- Use online tools like Linkedin and ZoomInfo
- Contact potential prospects using various modes of communication
Converting Leads to Closed/Won - 45%
- Conduct discovery calls
- Prepare and deliver presentations
- Hold meetings and demos that move the prospect forward
- Conduct onboarding meetings for new accounts
- Update Salesforce with client info and sales activity
- Monitor email campaigns and cadences
- Work with the team to build custom pricing based on the prospect
- Write the Scope of Work document to pair with MSA, review redlines with the appropriate parties
- Work with Marketing to develop sales materials and specific Account-Based Marketing plans
- Internal meetings with the team to forecast and discuss deal stages
- Collaborate with Sales Operations on business strategy, coverage, and timeline
- Coordinate with Product regarding prospect feedback and integration
- Communicate with Operations regarding prospect nuances
Professional Development - 5%
- Participate in training sessions and online webinars
- Attend industry conferences and events
- Keep up to date with industry news and trends
WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
- 5 years experience in identifying and developing new business partnerships or strategic partnerships in technology
- Experience at a high-growth / early-stage startup is preferred
- Proven success selling to Fortune 100 accounts
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration (e.g., Finance, Marketing, etc.) or a quantitative discipline preferred
- Energetic, self-motivated, and comfortable working with little direction, a self-starter with a strong sense of urgency and ownership
- Experience in the shipping, last mile, supply chain, or logistics space is preferred
- Naturally optimistic and not afraid to get dirty and roll up your sleeves to achieve results
- Confident, poised, and articulate presenter and communicator
- Analytical mindset and strong use of data-driven decision-making
- Willingness to travel every few weeks for prospect/client meetings, as well as industry conferences
