Job Description:
The Maintenance Equipment Operator I will operate dump trucks, snow plows, sanders, tractor-drawn mowers and other equipment for grounds maintenance; operate light vehicles such as passenger cars and panel trucks for transporting personnel and materials and perform routine maintenance on vehicles and equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Operate dump trucks, snow plows, sanders, tractor-drawn mowers and other equipment for grounds maintenance.
- Operate light vehicles such as passenger cars and panel trucks for transporting personnel and materials.
- Perform routine maintenance on vehicles and equipment and perform related work as required.
Requirements:
- Knowledge of the laws, rules and regulations governing the operation of motor vehicles and power-operated equipment.
- Knowledge of safety practices and procedures followed in the operation of motor vehicles and power-operated equipment.
- Knowledge of the types and uses of snow removal and ice control equipment.
- Skill in the operation of motor vehicles and power-oriented equipment.
- Possession of a current and valid Massachusetts Class D license and knowledge of the laws, rules and regulations governing the operation of motor vehicles.
- Ability to obtain a Hoisters license before the end of the probation period.
Additional Information:
Salary: $2,092.84 bi-weekly/$54,413.84 Grade: 13
Shift: Monday - Friday 7:00 a.m.- 3:30 p.m.
