Position Summary:
The outdoor program coordinator is a crucial member of our hospitality team at Bunker Hill Farms, a private by-invitation-only resort located NW of Chicago in Woodstock IL. The outdoor program coordinator will act as the liaison between our guests and the resort regarding all outdoor activities. This position will ensure our guests’ experience is one to remember as well as manage the guests’ daily agenda. The outdoor activity agenda can consist of any of the following activities: golf, clay pigeon & target shooting, ATV tours, horseback riding, paddle boarding, pontoon boat rides, fishing, and fat tire bike rides. Our outdoor program coordinator represents our resort and brand to the fullest. They must be professional, polished, and poised. The outdoor activities require an individual who is high energy and knowledgeable about the activities at hand.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work on property as the outdoor lead at Bunker Hill Farms resort during executive retreats, guest stays, and golf outings.
- Follow predetermined guest agenda and keep experience/event per pre-determined schedule.
- Act as the main point of contact on property for all outdoor activities to ensure high guest experience and overall safety.
- Learn the property. Be able to navigate the 18-hole golf course and 450-acre property during golf and tours.
- Pre/Post Event Duties per management - Set up and tear down before and after outings.
- Interact directly with guests to deliver an unparalleled customer service experience.
- Lead set up of all outdoor activities and events.
- Lead caddies during golf, ATV tours, shooting experiences, and all lake activities.
- Work at both of our large annual events as a position lead- mud run & concert.
Qualifications:
- Previous hospitality experience (ie. hotel, restaurant, customer service, or area of study)
- High school diploma or GED.
- Prior training on the golf course or as a caddy.
- Prior experience operating and riding outdoor vehicles such as golf carts, ATVs, UTVs and Gators.
- Navigational and outdoor skills.
- Complete understanding of customer service and interacting with guests in a professional manner.
- Must be able to learn quickly and adapt to change in a positive way.
- Positive “can do” attitude - willing to go above & beyond to exceed guest expectations
- A team player that is willing to be a leader during events and work with others to accomplish tasks.
- Must remain professional and positive while facing challenges.
- Able to stand for long periods of time (8 hours) and lift 15-45lbs during the event set up.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Candidates must be willing to sign a confidentiality agreement to ensure privacy for our high profile guests.
- This is an independent contractor role. Team members hours will be scheduled on a as needed basis.
Job Types: Part-time, Contract
Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15 – 40 per week
