What are the responsibilities and job description for the Housekeeping – Part-Time position at BUNKIE GENERAL HOSPITAL?
Job Summary
- Performs routine and specialized tasks to maintain the cleanliness, sanitary conditions, and appearance of patient rooms, exam rooms, bathrooms, offices, work areas, hallways, an other common areas.
- Must complete housekeeping and cleaning tasks according to schedule.
- Identifies building and/or equipment repair needs and notifies the appropriate supervisor.
- Maintains an inventory of all cleaning supplies, linens, sanitary supplies, etc., on housekeeping carts.
- Mixes and/or blends cleaning solutions to proper concentrations as necessary for various tasks.
- Gathers and prepares soiled linen for laundry pick-up and provides clean linen for assigned areas.
- Attends scheduled workshops and/or training sessions to maintain efficiency and increase knowledge.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Education/Experience Requirements
- High School diploma or GED.
- Must be able to read, write, understand, and follow written and oral instructions given in English.
- 1-year Healthcare/Hospital housekeeping /environmental services preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods of standing, bending, and stooping.
- Ability to occasionally lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Balancing, climbing, grasping, kneeling, crouching, lifting, reaching, repetitive movement, and frequent walking.
