Accounts Payable Clerk

The Accounts Payable Clerk will review and process vendor invoices for payment by performing basic accounting duties.

Responsibilities:

• AP Processing - 3-way matching of receivers, purchase orders and vendor invoices.
• Verify the accuracy of invoices and other accounting documents or records.
• Code & route expense invoices and credit memos to the appropriate parties daily.
• Assist in data entry and processing of invoices on a daily basis related to direct shipments – based on sales order and purchase order information, inventory receipt processing, general ledger account coding, entering of invoice information in the AS400.
• Collaborate with vendors and purchasing or sales departments for necessary paperwork and approvals needed for processing
• Respond to vendor and internal inquiries regarding payments and account discrepancies.
• Contribute to Accounting team as necessary to meet department deadlines and objectives.
• Provide support during monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, and managers.
  
  

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED required
• 2 years’ of experience working in an Accounts Payable computerized environment
• AS400 knowledge a plus.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel
• Knowledge of accounting principles and AP processes a plus.
• Must have an excellent eye for detail; must have the ability to spot issues quickly and be able to resolve in a timely manner.
• Able to problem solve and handle a variety of issues.
• Must be self-motivated and able to follow direction and able to work independently or as a team.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task projects, establish priorities, work independently and organize effectively.
• Must be detail orientated and be able to work under pressure.

Salary: $25-$30 / hour based on experience, education and geographic location.

Hybrid work schedule Monday – Friday Must live in the Denver metro area
