Marketing Communications Coordinator

Liberty Safety, a respected wholesaler of personal protective equipment (PPE) since 1987, is seeking an experienced Marketing Communications Coordinator to join our fast-paced team. With over 5,000 active products spanning 27 category lines and 12 sub-brands, we have a vast inventory of head-to-toe safety apparel. As we embark on a new company brand name transformation, we need a knowledgeable, adaptable marketing professional to guide our strategy and implementation across traditional marketing channels, including printed collaterals and traditional media advertising.

This is a hybrid position. Remote: Monday, Tuesday, and Friday. Office: Wednesday and Thursday, based in City of Industry, CA.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and execute various communication strategies for marketing campaigns (traditional and digital) to meet Liberty’s marketing goals.
• Conduct market research; major competitors and customers to ensure brand consistency and communication.
• Assist Marketing Specialist to plan marketing projects, trade shows, coordinate mailing lists, and establish contacts.
• Support with photography; product shots/lifestyle for digital assets, packaging, spec sheets, and website.
• Support creative design meetings with freelance designers to implement successful marketing campaigns.
• Coordinate between vendors and internal staff on creative projects designed by marketing team.
• Work cross-functionally with sales, product development, purchasing, and creative teams to facilitate catalog creation and oversee multiple rounds of edits to ensure accuracy and support press check.
• Research industry news for the digital marketing calendar and work with the Digital Marketing Specialist to design and create for corporate social channels.
• Create sales training power points, manage product spec sheets/print materials to highlight key benefits, and ensure information accuracy.
• Create or update process documentation (SOP’s) to support the marketing team process flow.
• Provide support to Marketing Director and our Marketing team as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism, Advertising, or equivalent experience in related field preferred.
• 3 years of marketing experience.
• 1 year of social media or email marketing experience.
• Self-motivated, independent, and hardworking; must be able to manage and prioritize projects to meet deadlines.
• Fast learner, ability to adjust to shifting priorities.
• Advanced knowledge of Excel/Google sheets (index/match, pivot tables, charts, etc.).
• Experience with both product and lifestyle photography.
• Detail-oriented, ability to catch mistakes before they happen.
• Creative and curious mindset, with eagerness to learn.
• Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), PC preferred.

Liberty Safety CA salary range: $28 - $30.75 per hour based on experience, education, and geographic location.
