Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Stand-Up Forklift Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have prior experience working in freezer environments, possess strong computer skills, and be bilingual in English and Spanish. Certification as a forklift operator is required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate stand-up forklifts to move materials and products within the facility.
- Load and unload trucks, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Handle and store products in a freezer environment, adhering to all safety protocols.
- Use computer systems to track inventory and complete required documentation.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors in both English and Spanish.
- Perform routine maintenance checks on forklifts and report any issues promptly.
- Assist with general warehouse duties as needed.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year operating stand-up forklifts, preferably in a freezer environment.
- Certification: Valid forklift operator certification required.
- Language Skills: Bilingual (English and Spanish) strongly preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in basic computer operations for inventory tracking.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to work in cold temperatures, lift up to 50 lbs, and stand for extended periods.
- Shift Availability: Openings on 1st and 2nd shifts; flexibility to work overtime or weekends as needed.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
