Civil Design Engineer
Salary: $83,200 - $95,000

Qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major coursework in civil engineering.
- OR, Engineer-in-Training (EIT) Certificate with two (2) years of equivalent professional engineering experience.
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) Certificate is encouraged.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD.
- Knowledge of civil engineering principles, including hydraulic, geotechnical, and structural concepts.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, multitasking, and listening skills.
- Ability to effectively work in a team environment.
- Committed to ethical codes of practice.
Responsibilities:
- Provide support to Project Engineers and Project Managers in preparing defined elements of project designs.
- Contribute to projects including residential, commercial, mixed-use, public, and private sector developments, as well as projects subject to DSA approval.
- Assist in the design of site development projects, including the preparation of plans and exhibits (e.g., Grading and Drainage Plans, Utility Plans, Erosion Control Plans, Tentative Maps, Feasibility Exhibits).
- Conduct project research and coordinate with governing municipalities, agencies, and co-consultants such as architects and landscape architects.
- Attend meetings, site visits, and field inspections alongside project team members to coordinate various design aspects with consultants and contractors.
- Participate in project coordination and correspondence with consultants, including architects, geotechnical engineers, structural engineers, arborists, surveyors, and contractors, under the guidance of Project Managers.
- Assist in the preparation of reports and supporting documents.
- Perform design calculations, including earthwork quantities, cost estimates, impervious surface areas, and aspects of drainage analysis.
