What You'll Do:
🔹 Lead and coordinate structural design calculations, plans, and specifications
🔹 Perform linear & non-linear structural analyses, bridge inspections, and load ratings
🔹 Conduct hydrologic & hydraulic analyses for bridges and box culverts
🔹 Ensure quality assurance and compliance with industry standards
🔹 Collaborate with clients, engineers, technicians, and contractors
🔹 Manage project planning, cost development, and scheduling
🔹 Serve as a Project Engineer or Project Manager, depending on experience
🔹 Contribute to public engagement efforts, including reports, graphics, and presentations
🔹 Participate in project interviews and proposals requiring Structural Engineering expertise
What You Bring:
✔ Licensed Structural Engineer in Illinois
✔ Experience designing structural projects per IDOT standards
✔ Professional Engineer (PE) license in Illinois or ability to obtain one
✔ Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution
✔ Valid driver’s license and good driving record
Bonus Skills:
➕ NBIS Team Lead certification (or ability to obtain)
➕ Experience conducting bridge inspections and assessment reports
Physical Requirements:
⏩ Ability to work outdoors in extreme weather conditions for extended periods
⏩ Capable of lifting 30 lbs. and standing/walking on uneven surfaces
⏩ Frequent use of hands, fingers, and arms for computer work & documentation
