Job Description:

As the Operations Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of our jewelry stores. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, is highly organized, and has strong leadership skills. You will play a key role in ensuring smooth operations, recruiting and retaining top talent, and supporting team performance.

Key Responsibilities:

Store Operations:

• Manage daily store operations, ensuring efficiency and consistency.
• Oversee inventory levels and processes, ensuring proper stock levels.
• Implement operational policies and procedures to maximize productivity and maintain brand standards.
• Conduct store visits to ensure cleanliness, organization, and proper product displays.

Team Management:

• Recruit, onboard, and retain talented team members who align with Burdlife’s values and goals.
• Support, train, and mentor store employees to ensure excellent customer service and operational efficiency.
• Ensure employees are knowledgeable about products and selling techniques, including upselling and cross-selling.
• Foster a positive work environment, boosting team morale and engagement.
• Address performance issues and provide constructive feedback to improve employee skills.

Event and Market Coordination:

• Assist in planning and managing in-store events and market activations.
• Travel to various locations to oversee event setup, sales performance, and team support.

Recruitment and Retention:

• Develop strategies to recruit qualified candidates and maintain a strong, motivated team.
• Build employee loyalty and engagement through effective leadership and recognition programs.
• Maintain open communication with employees to ensure retention and satisfaction within the team.

Communication & Reporting:

• Provide regular updates to the leadership team on store performance, challenges, and achievements.
• Address operational challenges and troubleshoot issues as they arise.

Future Travel Requirements:

• Travel is required to visit store locations (once opened) and attend events or pop-ups within the region.

Potential for Growth:

This part-time position offers a pathway to full-time employment as Burdlife continues to expand its operations, including the opening of additional store locations. We are looking for a candidate who is ready to grow with us and take on greater responsibilities as we scale.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in operations, management, or a similar role (preferably in retail or jewelry).
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to travel as needed.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and POS systems.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in the jewelry or luxury retail industry.
• Knowledge of jewelry trends, gemstones, and materials.
