In this vital role, you'll be the backbone of our special education department, ensuring the smooth and efficient processing of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and other critical documentation. Your work will directly support our dedicated team of educators and therapists, enabling them to provide the best possible services to our students.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Be a Master of Organization: Manage and track IEP paperwork for assigned teams, ensuring all documents are completed accurately and within deadlines. Maintain filing systems for student temporary files, including processing files and managing annual record disposal.
Communication is Key: Accurately relay phone calls and messages and email staffing notices to districts. You'll be the friendly voice and helpful resource for parents, educators, and staff.
Support Our Team: Pull and coordinate files for annual review meetings, assist with record release of information requests, and ensure paperwork draft notifications are sent. You'll play a crucial role in preparing our team for success.
Contribute to Improvement: Provide valuable input regarding improvements to general office procedures and in-house forms. Your ideas can help us streamline our processes and better serve our students.
Front Desk Support: Serve as a backup for receptionist duties, ensuring a welcoming and efficient experience for visitors.
Be a Team Player: Perform other duties as assigned by the BMP Office Manager or BMP Director, and adhere to the policies and procedures outlined in the BMP Staff Handbook.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING:
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Proficiency with Google Suite
Experience working with student records or in a school setting is a plus!
