This position is located at Bureau of the Fiscal Service, Deputy AC Security Services, Asset Protection Division, Cyber Security Branch. As an IT Specialist (INFOSEC)(Cyber Security Officer), you will be responsible for Bureau-Wide asset protection, including Fiscal Agents and Franchise customers.
Duties
As an IT Specialist (INFOSEC)(Cyber Security Officer), you will :
- Work closely with IT Programs Areas and the Infrastructure team in developing and engineering secure solutions to protect Fiscal Service Assets, and external customer assets, from cyber threats and related risks.
- Serve as a Bureau expert on cyber-security asset protection and scanning activities for networks, web applications, databases and incident response forensics to ensure the Bureau IT infrastructure and systems are protected from internal and external threats.
- Serve as the Cyber Security Officer and subject matter expert (SME) and Bureau contact for the Computer Security Information Center (CSIRC) - overseeing and managing cyber incidents and vulnerability management for IT assets and other supporting systems within the Bureau's IT infrastructure and hosted systems.
- Provide SME support in defining and applying principles of common enterprise architecture throughout the planning, programming, budgeting, and execution (PPBE) cycle.

The experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or . One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. Specialized experience : For the GS-13 , you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service.
