PERMIT CLERK/ TECHNICIAN
JOB SUMMARY:
- Process incoming permit applications for plan review and inspections
- Responsible for verifying and accepting submittals by ensuring all documents necessary for permit issuance are submitted and complete.
- Follow up on permits submitted to the City
- Provide exceptional customer service to our internal and external customers
- Provide copies of inspection reports as requested.
- Answer incoming calls from Contractors, Cities and others requesting inspections to be scheduled
- Schedule inspections received by phone and/or emails.
- Establishing and maintaining cooperative working relationships with co-workers and the public
- Must be a self-starter, able to work within a group and individually
- And other duties as assigned
Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
- Requires clerical and technical support duties within the Fort Worth Office
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Previous permit technician experience is a plus
- Must have excellent typing, data entry, and clerical skills.
- Must be computer savvy. Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and working with different software and databases.
