Senior Electrical Engineer - Renewable EnergyThe Senior Electrical Engineer will be part of the BV owner’s engineering and technical advisory group, a multi-discipline team focus on servicing clients in the renewable power and utilities industry.  Owner’s Engineering services covers the whole CAPEX cycle of the project (conceptual / feasibility, permitting support, detailed design review, equipment inspection, construction support, commissioning and start / up support).This position requires both significant technical expertise in electrical engineering and renewable power generation, as well as a client-oriented approach to ensure that the required quality level (against applicable industry codes and standards, project technical specific requirements, and owner’s specifications) is met while simultaneously minimizing the risks on the project schedule and cost for our clients.      The candidate will be responsible to perform design reviews following the BV typical design review process focusing on the following objectives (including but not limited to) : Design meets all specified contractual requirements (owner’s requirements, interconnection / interface requirements, etc.) and in compliance with applicable codes and standardsDesign includes the strategy for confirming and demonstrating that performance requirements can be met Design drawings, codes and specification are full and completeEquipment and components are used within their specified performance envelope and will meet the project expected design lifeCost optimization after considering all project requirementsScheduling considerations are taken into accountThe selected candidate should have a strong electrical engineering and renewables project experience background (utility-scale solar, wind, battery storage, and combined generation projects) with strong knowledge on 3 phase AC power systems from LV to HV (120V AC to 345kV AC), as well as DC emergency and other battery power systems (up to 125V DC).ResponsibilitiesThe candidate will be responsible to perform design reviews following BV typical design review process outlined below : Receive design document and make a review planVerify / Confirm the applicable Codes / Standards / Requirements applicable to the projectCheck the authenticity and completeness of the documentPerform design review against the applicable codes / standards and owner’s requirements.
