The Position :
The Service Technician repairs, tests, adjusts, or installs Burford equipment at customer sites.
Responsibilities Include :
- Provide installation and setup of new equipment at customer site
- Read blueprints, schematics, manuals, and other specifications to determine installation procedures
- Install and test equipment to ensure that it functions properly.
- Provide operation and maintenance training for customer
- Perform maintenance, repairs, tests or adjustments of equipment by applying mechanical and electrical knowledge
- Operate and test faulty equipment to analyze and diagnose malfunctions
- Inspect components of equipment for accurate assembly and installation, or for defects
- Examine work orders and talk to equipment operators to detect equipment issue and to determine whether mechanical or human error contributed to the problem
- Repair and adjust equipment, machines, and defective components, replacing worn parts
- Perform diagnosis, repair and functional confirmation at customer site as required by service or maintenance contract
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance tasks, such as checking, cleaning, and repairing equipment, to detect and prevent problems
- Provide customers with occasional telephone support for start-up or trouble shooting
- Advise management regarding customer satisfaction, product performance, and suggestions for product improvements.
