Warehouse Associate

Job Summary
Burford Distributing, a locally owned family business, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Warehouse Associate to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of our warehouse by performing various tasks related to inventory management, order fulfillment, and equipment operation. This position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Benefits begin after time-of-service requirements are met.

Duties

• Load and unload products from trucks and containers, ensuring accurate handling to prevent damage.
• Fabricate packaging as needed for various products to ensure safe transport.
• Conduct inventory control by tracking stock levels and reporting discrepancies.
• Utilize warehouse management systems, including Encompass, for accurate order processing and inventory management.
• Operate equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks safely and efficiently.
• Participate in order picking processes to fulfill customer orders accurately and timely.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse to promote a safe and efficient work environment.
• Collaborate with team members to meet daily operational goals and improve processes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Valid Driver's License required.
• Candidate must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
• Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution center environment is preferred but not required.
• Class A CDL preferred but not required.
• Ability to operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks safely.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions accurately.
• Good physical stamina; ability to lift heavy items (up to 185 lbs on occasion) and walk for long periods.
• Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude even in stressful situations.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 45 per week
