Litigation Legal Assistant – Englewood, CO
We are seeking an experienced Litigation Legal Assistant to join our Mass Tort Litigation team. The ideal candidate is a reliable team player with a friendly, positive attitude and a high level of professionalism that will play a key supporting role in ensuring that our clients are well served.
The position responsibilities include but are not limited to the direct support of senior and associate level attorneys; assist with the maintenance of large electronic and paper files; assist with the request and review of medical, financial, and other case-related documents and records; electronic filing in federal courts; calculate and calendar federal court deadlines; scheduling of depositions, meetings, and hearings, travel; and direct client contact.
The position requires:
- Experience with electronic filing in state and federal courts;
- 3 years of working in a litigation law firm;
- Experience in identifying, calculating, and calendaring federal and state statutory deadlines;
- The ability to manage multiple assignments and prioritize assignments to meet deadlines;
- The ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing, and be an exceptional listener;
- The willingness and ability to problem-solve and recommend solutions;
- Excellent attention to detail; and
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite products, including Excel.
The position requires at least 3 years of work experience in a professional environment; the ability to communicate clearly and professionally both verbally and in writing; the ability to maintain a professional, helpful, friendly, client-first attitude; organizational, multitasking, and time-management skills; ability to focus on detail and accuracy; and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
SALARY RANGE: $50,000 to $60,000 . Although the full salary range for this position is provided, the determination of new hire salaries is dependent upon the candidate’s level of experience.
