What are the responsibilities and job description for the Paralegal (Mass Tort) position at Burg Simpson?
We are seeking an experienced Paralegal (3-5+ yrs) to join our Mass Tort team. The ideal candidate is a reliable team player with a friendly, positive attitude and a high level of professionalism that will play a key supporting role in ensuring that our clients are well served.
The position will work closely with senior and associate level attorneys, and other Mass Tort administrative team members. The position requires:
3+ years of working in a litigation law firm (plaintiff litigation law firm experience is preferred, but not required)
Experience reviewing, organizing and summarizing medical and other client-related documentation
Excellent writing skills
Experience in preparing and responding to written discovery
The ability to communicate effectively with a wide variety of people
The ability to develop and maintain cooperative working relationships
The ability to work with limited supervision
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and the ability to prioritize a high-volume workload
Microsoft Office 365 proficiency with a comfortable use of Excel spreadsheets (formatting, formulas, sorting and extracting data, etc.)
Salary Range: $55,000 – $60,000+. Although the full salary range for this position is provided, the determination of new hire salaries is dependent upon the candidate’s level of experience.
