Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced AWS RDS/EDB Postgres Engineer to manage and optimize PostgreSQL/EDB databases in AWS environments. The role involves database administration, migrations, performance tuning, and automation using Terraform and Ansible.
Key Skills:
- 10 years of PostgreSQL/EDB database experience.
- 5 years with AWS RDS (Aurora, EC2, S3, Lambda).
- Strong expertise in database performance optimization, partitioning, and indexing.
- Automation skills with Terraform, Ansible, and GitLab CI/CD.
- Proficiency in Python and shell scripting.
- Experience with Linux OS, IAM, and security policies.
- Knowledge of PgBouncer, PgPool, and high-availability solutions.
Preferred:
- PostgreSQL migrations (on-prem to AWS).
- Monitoring with AWS tools (e.g., Performance Insights).
