Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
Bachelor s degree in computer science or a related IT field AND four (4) years of IT-related work experience; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Three (3) years of direct experience in Windows Server Management and three (3) years in Physical Server Management.
Responsibilities:
Windows Server Administration
Manage the operation, health, and security of a Virtual Server environment.
Research Vulnerability Notices and coordinate patch or workaround deployments.
Assist in the management and maintenance of physical datacenter infrastructure.
Respond to Monitoring System Alerts.
Active Directory User Administration
Manage Users and Groups.
Provide users with access to requested resources.
General Administration
Perform troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and performance benchmarking.
Provide support for issues ranging from single-user problems to system-wide outages.
Assist in periodic testing of disaster preparedness for the NC Judicial Center Data Center.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Expertise in Windows Server operating systems, virtual servers, and virtualization technologies.
Experience in server hardware management, monitoring, and support.
Ability to troubleshoot common server and software issues in a Windows-based environment.
Knowledge of Active Directory administration.
Experience with vulnerability alert management.
