Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Helper to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist in meal preparation, ensuring the kitchen is clean and organized, and supporting the culinary staff in various tasks.
Duties:
- Assist in food preparation under the guidance of the kitchen staff
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen areas and equipment
- Support in meal assembly and presentation
- Follow food safety guidelines and procedures
- Take phone orders and in-person orders
- Help with catering orders and event preparation
- Perform basic cooking tasks as needed
Skills:
- Previous experience in the food industry or culinary field is a plus
- Knowledge of basic kitchen tools including knives and utensils
- Familiarity with meal preparation techniques
- Understanding of food safety standards and regulations
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to learn and take direction from chefs and cooks
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with kitchen team members
- Ensure cleanliness of kitchen and front of store
