Burgess & Niple is looking for a Bridge Inspection Engineer/Project Manager to join our team based in either Tempe or Flagstaff, AZ, Boise, ID, or Portland, OR working to ensure the safety of travelling public with some of the top bridge inspection experts in the industry.

B&N Bridge Inspection Engineer/Project Manager Responsibilities
- Plan, lead, and manage complex bridge inspection and assessment projects.
- Lead and train younger staff in the field and in the office.
- Market new and existing clients, follow up on new business leads and help build bridge engineering services in the southwestern United States.
- Assist marketing and business development opportunities in other geographies throughout the western United States.
- Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent from an ABET accredited engineering program
- Professional Engineer (PE) registration in the state of employment required; or ability to register through reciprocity
- Prior bridge inspection, design, and/or load rating experience required
- 2-week NHI/FHWA Bridge Inspection certification, FC NHI/FHWA certification, SPRAT or IRATA rope access certification, and NHI Tunnel inspection certification are all desired
- Microsoft Office skills and familiarity with AASHTOWare BrM
- Comfortable working at heights
- Ability to work outside regardless of weather conditions
- Ability to withstand high levels of physical exertion including walking, climbing, bending, carrying, and lifting up to 30 lbs. of equipment
- Ability and willingness to travel for field work; Travel requirements may be up to 100 days per year and include out-of-state travel depending on workload
- A valid driver's license with acceptable driving history is a must
