B&N Bridge Inspection Engineer Team Leader Responsibilities
- Responsible charge of field inspections, report development, and manage projects/task order assignments
- QC review of reports
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and assist in mentoring/developing younger staff
- Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent from an ABET accredited engineering program
- Professional Engineer (PE) registration required; or ability to register through reciprocity
- Prior bridge inspection, design, and/or load rating experience required
- SPRAT certification highly desirable
- Familiarity with multiple bridge management software packages (such as BrM, AssetWise, InspectX, and similar), strong skills in fundamental programs such as Excel/Numbers, Word, PowerPoint needed
- Familiarity with other databases/programs such as GIS, FileMaker, Access also considered a big plus
- Experience and knowledge of bridge load rating, rehabilitation, construction, and design also highly desirable
- Comfortable working at heights
- Ability to work outside regardless of weather conditions
- Ability to withstand high levels of physical exertion including walking, climbing, bending, carrying, and lifting up to 30 lbs. of equipment
- Ability and willingness to travel for field work; Travel requirements will generally be 1 week per month and include out-of-state travel depending on workload
- A valid driver's license with acceptable driving history is a must
