- Perform in-service inspections of bridges and other critical infrastructure locally and around the U.S. and assist with ensuring the safety of the travelling public
- Train and work side-by-side with rope access climbing experts to document and report bridge conditions using tablets, cameras, and other hand tools
- Learn and develop basic inspection skills according to the MBE (Manual for Bridge Evaluation) and the SNBI (Specifications for the National Bridge Inventory)
- Perform data entry / data manipulation tasks for inspection mobilization and reporting
- Current Junior or Senior level Civil Engineering student in an ABET-accredited bachelor’s degree program with structural focus and strong academic standing
- Comfortable with heights; desire to climb large bridge structures
- Able to perform fieldwork for long durations and in inclement weather conditions
- Capable of high levels of physical exertion including but not limited to walking on steep slopes, climbing, bending, carrying, and lifting up to 60 lbs. of equipment
- A valid driver's license with acceptable driving history
- Excellent communication skills and detail oriented
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Adobe Acrobat required
- Familiarity with Bentley MicroStation and Autodesk AutoCAD a plus
