B&N Construction Manager Responsibilities
- Monitors work of contractors to ensure quality control and contract compliance for roadway, structure, and bridge construction
- Provides general inspection on construction labor and subcontracted tasks
- Reports assigned work activities, contractor labor and equipment, and quantity of materials received
- Ensures construction methods and procedures are followed and that materials incorporated into project conform to the project material specifications
- Performs on-site material testing and verification
- Calibrate and maintain testing equipment
- Create and compile close out / final construction records documents for submission
- Ensures client satisfaction throughout life of projects
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering (ABET accredited) or construction management required
- Ability to obtain all 6 INDOT Certified Technician Courses in first year of employment (if Bachelor’s degree is not an engineering degree)
- 0-5 years of related experience
- Excellent communication skills and detail oriented
- Ability to work in inclement weather, work a on construction site, be exposed to heavy construction equipment, and walking
- Self-motivated and adaptable, including the capability to learn virtual collaboration tools
