Burgess & Niple is seeking a Professional Engineer (PE) to join our Jacksonville, FL office as a Roadway Project Manager. This position provides the opportunity to lead and coordinate challenging transportation engineering projects with FDOTs and local agencies in the areas of roadway design, complete streets, and bicycle and pedestrian facilities. Current active projects include resurfacing, widening, and interchange projects for FDOT Districts 1, 2, 5 and 7, Safety Studies and Design Contracts for FDOT Districts 1, 2 and 5, Innovative Interchange and Intersection Peer Review Services for FDOT Central Office, and many local agency contracts performing work program project development, design, and owner advisor services throughout Florida.

- Participate in B&N’s Florida Transportation strategic business planning for our Florida operations through developing strong client relationships and assessing new business opportunities
- Participate in pursuits, presentations, and management of projects with FDOT districts and municipal agencies
- Recruit and develop staff in Florida with an emphasis in the Orlando region
- Provide oversight of production of transportation projects for FDOT and other municipal agencies
- Actively lead and participate in project delivery to create an exemplary client experience
- Monitor performance indicators, budgets, schedules, and manage risk
- Working knowledge of MicroStation and Open Roads design software
- Strong client management and project management skills
- Strong interpersonal and written communication skills
- Bachelor of Civil Engineering degree from an ABET accredited program
- PE registration in the State of Florida required or ability to obtain through reciprocity
- 8 years of experience related to municipal project management and client development
- Working knowledge of MicroStation and Open Roads design software
- Strong client management and project management skills
- Strong interpersonal and written communication skills
- Self-motivated and adaptable, including the capability to learn virtual collaboration tools
