Senior Structural Engineer

B&N Senior Structural Engineer Responsibilities

• Drive business development goals and have established client relationships with FDOTs and municipalities
• Serve as a Project Manager and lead structural bridge service team leader
• Oversee staff recruitment, workload distribution, and project execution
• Prepare and perform quality control of structural design calculations, drawings, specifications, design analysis and construction cost estimates
• Manage structural portion of project budgets and quality control/quality assurance reviews
• Direct CAD technicians, designers, and engineers in the production of CAD drawings and BIM models
• Coordinate with, train/coach, and guide junior design staff in developing and delivering structural design projects
  
  

Skills And Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an ABET accredited engineering program
• PE registration in Florida required
• Minimum of 15 years’ experience related to structural bridge design
• Experience in design and plan production for various types of FDOT bridge and other structure designs required
• Knowledge of structural related software’s
• Strong interpersonal communication and thorough design documentation and detailing skills
• Self-motivated and adaptable, including the capability to learn virtual collaboration tools
