Reviewing tooling request with Senior Toolmaker or Plant Manager and the entity making the requisition.
After reviewing the request, submit recommendations on repair procedures (work ticket).
Assists in maintaining part inventory for common replacement items such as; dies, inserts, sleeves, etc.
Maintain conditions and housekeeping of the tooling equipment and area.
Manufactures and repairs fixtures and specialized tools as requested and approved by Engineering Manager
Provides tooling assistance to Maintenance Department as approved by the Engineering Manager and / or Plant Manager
Responsible for maintaining daily log book and maintenance request forms
Responsible for maintaining setting-up and operating machinery equipment such as; lathe, mill, surface grinder, etc. WHAT’S IN IT FOR YOU

Program CNC Mazak Lathes from blueprints Set-up Lathe for soft turning, hard turning, ID and OD as well as threading Be able to inspect parts and make changes to the program or offsets to make parts to blueprint specifications You will need to know how to use indicators, micrometers, bore gages and gage blocks
Repairing Line, Transfer, Blank, Progressive, and Hot Stamp Tooling Education Required
