Clinical Duties:
- Greet and prepare patients for examinations, recording vital signs and medical history.
- Assist healthcare providers during examinations and medical procedures.
- Administer medications and injections as prescribed by physicians.
- Collect and prepare laboratory specimens, ensuring accurate documentation.
- Provide patient education on treatment plans, medications, and preventive care.
Administrative Duties:
- Schedule and coordinate patient appointments, ensuring optimal clinic flow.
- Manage front desk responsibilities, including answering phones and addressing patient inquiries.
- Verify and update patient insurance information and assist with billing and coding tasks.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic health records (EHR).
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care and efficient practice operations.
Qualifications:
- Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
- Current certification as a Registered Medical Assistant.
- Previous experience in a family practice or primary care setting is highly desirable.
- Proficient in medical terminology, clinical procedures, and electronic health records.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
- Current CPR certification.
