What are the responsibilities and job description for the Security Officer, Per Diem position at Burke Rehabilitation Hospital?
Patrols and inspects hospital buildings and grounds to prevent fire, theft, vandalism, illegal entry, loss of life, property or physical harm. Inspects for safety hazards and violation of safety policies. Interact with individuals within hospital, provide information as requested. Safeguards cash and checks for cashier during off hours.
Requirements:
- Possess a current and valid New York State Driver License.
- Must have and maintain New York State licensing requirement.
- Able to work outdoors in all types of weather.
- Must be able to climb stairs, walk reasonable distances, stand for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to write clear and concise reports.
- High School Diploma or equivalent and Prior security experience.
Work Schedule: All shifts available: 8am-4pm, 4pm-Midnight, Midnight - 8am.
Please note: This is a perdiem position. There will be no minimum number of hours/shift that can be guaranteed.
**Evening differential offered for evening and night shifts.**
