What are the responsibilities and job description for the Unit Clerk, Part-time position at Burke Rehabilitation Hospital?
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 4:30pm - 8:00pm & Every other weekend (Saturday or Sunday). 12:00pm-8:00pm
Responsibilities: Acts as a receptionist at the unit's station which includes greeting and assisting new patients and general clerical duties (answering phones, delivering mail, filing, etc.) Responsible for duties relative to admission, discharge/transfer of patients. This includes preparing and maintaining electronic medical charts, transmitting discharge notices, reviewing electronic charts for accuracy, and scheduling patients. May have some patient care responsibilities. Performs all other related duties as assigned.
Requirements: High School diploma or equivalent required, some college preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology helpful. Prior clerical work experience and good communication skills required. attend to multiple tasks at the same time while maintaining accuracy. Maintaining confidentiality and accuracy of patient records is an extremely important aspect of this position. EPIC experience preferred.
