RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform welding activities using various techniques, including orbital welding, manual TIG welding, and manual orbital welding, in accordance with ASME BPE standards.
• Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine welding requirements and procedures.
• Select and set up welding equipment, ensuring proper settings and calibration for each project.
• Inspect welds to ensure they meet ASME BPE standards for quality, integrity, and hygiene.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, following all safety protocols and regulations.
• Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and other team members to ensure project goals are met on time and within budget.
• Conduct regular maintenance and calibration of welding equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements related to ASME BPE welding.
• Design, create and build necessary jigs or fixtures to ensure work area stability.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Technical certifications and training in welding required.
• Minimum of five years of experience as a welder, with a focus on ASME BPE standards.
• Proficiency in various welding techniques, including orbital welding, manual TIG welding, and manual orbital welding. Willingness and desire to learn and receive training as needed.
• Familiarity with ASME BPE standards and regulations, including material requirements, surface finishes, and weld quality criteria.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to consistently produce high-quality welds.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot welding issues as they arise.
• Effective communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, while also following instructions and guidelines from supervisors and project managers.
• Commitment to safety and adherence to all relevant safety protocols and regulations.
• Proficient with precision measurement tools.
