The VP of Marketing will oversee the Digital Marketing & eCommerce, Third-Party Marketplace, Product Management, and General Brand Marketing Teams, and will be the primary owner of agency relationships, including our digital advertising partners.

- Drive Leads to Sales: Implement marketing strategies that directly contribute to sales growth across all channels
- Enhance the Digital Experience: Optimize our online presence and customer journey to create a seamless and engaging experience
- Elevate the Brand: Strengthen Burkett's brand recognition, reputation, and loyalty within the restaurant equipment and supplies industry and local community
- Strategic Leadership:
- Develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies aligned with Burkett's overall business objectives, focusing on the three key strategic pillars
- Identify and capitalize on market trends and opportunities to drive growth and enhance brand visibility
- Collaborate cross functionally to align marketing strategies with sales goals and overall business objectives
- Team Management & Development:
- Build, lead, and develop high-performing teams, fostering a collaborative and innovative culture, setting clear goals, and providing ongoing feedback and coaching
- Digital Marketing & eCommerce Oversight:
- Direct the strategy and execution of all eCommerce activities on the Magento platform, focusing on user experience, conversion optimization, and online sales growth
- Oversee digital marketing efforts, including SEO (leveraging SEM Rush), paid search (Google AdWords, Google Shopping, Bing Ads), email marketing (via HubSpot), and display advertising
- Manage and optimize website performance, leveraging analytics to drive improvements
- Third-Party Marketplace Management:
- Develop and execute strategies to optimize sales and performance on key third-party platforms, including Amazon Seller Central, eBay, and Walmart
- Manage product listings, pricing, promotions, and inventory across all marketplace channels
- Analyze marketplace data and trends to identify opportunities for growth and improved profitability
- Product Management Leadership:
- Lead the product management team in identifying new products, managing product catalogs, and optimizing product information for all channels
- Develop and execute product launch plans and marketing campaigns
- General Brand Marketing Leadership:
- Oversee brand building activities, including social media strategy and execution, email marketing campaigns, local marketing initiatives, trade show participation, the creation of sales support materials, sponsorships, and community involvement initiatives
- Ensure consistent brand messaging and adherence to brand guidelines across all marketing channels
- Agency Relationship Management:
- Manage and optimize relationships with external agencies, including digital advertising partners, ensuring effective execution and ROI
- Oversee agency performance and ensure alignment with marketing objectives
- Performance Analysis & Reporting:
- Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track marketing effectiveness across all channels
- Generate regular reports and dashboards to communicate performance and insights
- Utilize data analytics to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement
- Technology & Innovation:
- Stay abreast of the latest marketing technologies and trends, including AI applications, and evaluate their potential impact and value for Burkett
- Champion the adoption of new technologies and strategies to enhance marketing effectiveness
- Bachelor's Degree in Marketing or a related field (MBA is preferred)
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in marketing leadership roles, with a strong focus on digital marketing and eCommerce, preferably within the distribution or retail industry
- Proven track record of developing and executing successful marketing strategies that drive sales and brand growth in both online and offline environments
- Deep understanding of eCommerce platforms (specifically Magento is a plus) and digital marketing best practices
- Extensive experience with Google AdWords, Google Shopping, Microsoft Ads, SEM Rush, and email marketing platforms (HubSpot preferred)
- Experience managing and optimizing sales on third-party marketplaces (Amazon Seller Central, eBay, Walmart)
- Strong understanding of project management principles and practices
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and inspire teams
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Bonus: Experience leveraging AI in marketing automation, personalization, or analytics
- Familiarity with NetSuite ERP/CRM is a plus
